Services

FREE Nature operates under the philosophy that well-composed natural systems can regulate their own processes with minimal human intervention. Therefore, we collaborate with clients to restore European ecosystems. Our motto is: ‘nature on its own’.

However, the composition of the Dutch landscape, our infrastructure, and society ensure that some form of management is always necessary. Our grazers, despite their free life, also receive care and food when needed. The guiding principle remains that the number of animals and the composition of species are adjusted to prevent both overgrazing and the need for supplementary feeding.

If you're considering developing spontaneous nature or implementing large grazers, but unsure where to start, FREE Nature is here to help. We have extensive experience providing advice on topics ranging from restoring natural processes, to drafting grazing plans and even the practical design of amenities like bike paths in areas with large grazers.

Over the years, FREE Nature has provided consultancy to various municipalities, provincial landscapes, and large natural reserves such as Schiermonnikoog National Park and Horsterwold.

We'd be pleased to visit you for an introductory meeting, free of charge. During this meeting, we'll discuss your questions and challenges to develop a detailed action plan and subsequently provide a proposal and quotation.

If desired, we can involve the community in crafting our advice. This might include organizing public consultation meetings or field excursions. This ensures that our advice not only contributes substantively to solving your issues but also establishes a sustainable foundation by garnering ample community support.

Please feel free to reach out to us to schedule a meeting. Whether by phone, email, or in person, we're committed to assisting you in achieving your nature management objectives effectively.
